    Default Simpson Diamondback

Anyone have experience w/ this helmet? Does it run small, large? Is it worth the $$$? I need a helmet for some track events so I figure I might as well get a decent one. The diamondback looks cool, but Im not buying a helmet for looks. Any input or other suggestions would be great.

...i live about twenty minutes from the simpson factory and tried on a diamondback there about two years ago; i ended up going with a voyager, mostly on account of its cleaner design and significant price difference, but they're all very good helmets...

...i was most impressed by the carbon fiber devil ray...if i were in the market to spend as much as the diamondback, i think it's worth paying extra for the devil ray: very light, very comfortable, and a profoundly noticeable difference...

Here's a couple of threads on helmet buying. Not specifically on the Simpson, but take a look.

I wear a Simpson (www.TeamSimpson.com) Speedway Shark mainly because we have an open track car requiring some aerodynamic help to keep the helmet under control in the air flow. The Speedway Shark is very comfortable, a bit more so then the Bell I replaced.

If you are in an enclosed car, Simpson's new V-Sport is not only SA2005, but it's only $250.
